A Descriptive Christmas

  Enter your response   A Mega-Prompt   Read published entries

A descriptive Christmas is the topic of this assignment. Use words and language that will paint a detailed and complete picture of your holiday experience.

Describe a few Christmas gifts that you received and, or, some activities that you participated in (without naming them). The purpose of this exercise is to have those who read your response be able to visualize what you are describing so well that it won't be necessary for you to name it.

Don't take anything for granted in this assignment by assuming that your reader has already seen or experienced the same thing you have. Imagine that you are writing a description that will be read to someone who is blind. Your words will form the only image they have of whatever you are attempting to describe.

Word BankSanta; mistletoe; sleigh ride; candles; pines; bells; holly; chimney; reindeer; decorations; Christmas tree; eggnog; gifts; wrapping; Rudolph; icicles; manger; pageant; pumpkin pie; yuletide; toy-land; tinsel; Christmas stockings; Scrooge; turkey; parades; elves; ham; lights; fruitcake; poinsettia; snowflakes;
