Wikipedia defines the ecosystem as: all plants, animals and micro-organisms in a particular area that function together with all of the non-living physical features of the environment. In other words an ecosystem is: everything living and non-living in the world that surrounds us.
Imagine walking through the area where you live (outside), taking notes on everything that you might possibly see. When finished with this walk through nature, what are some things you would probably write in a journal entry describing the experience. It's very easy in today's high tech world to go through life, blind to the beauties of nature all around. Why do you think that is? What can we do in today's modern world to keep this kind of blindness from happening to us? Share some thoughts you may have on the topic. |
